Do you believe this Peanuts comic is racist?
Charles Shultz didn’t as he defended this particular
comic strip to a 15 year old boy named Randee in a letter.
Randee had questioned Schulz regarding what he thought
could be perceived as racism in this strip, and Schulz clearly
disagreed with the insinuation. Before you pass judgment,
be sure to read the letter.
The letter to Randee is one of dozens and dozens of letters
written by some to others and because of unusual
circumstances they become Letters of note. Truly a
fascinating web blog that often times hurles you into the
past to read about very real things that mattered to some
but most certainly not to you. Take some time to read
some great stuff. Thank you Shaun Usher for a great idea

Incidentally the letter about the above comic strip was
written nearly 25 years ago and the comic strip was
drawn 15 years before that.
