Contrary to popular belief, there are still a lot of very bright
young minds out there in the world. This is Asten, the brilliant
idea of a young highschool student that wants to be an engineer.
Asten won this young man the Space Settlement Design Contest
of 2009, co-sponsored by NASA Ames and the National Space
Society (NSS). The contest is for 6-12th graders (11-18 years old)
from anywhere in the world. Eric Yam is a student of Ms. Gillian
Evans at Northern Secondary School in Toronto Canada. My hat
is off to him and his design.
Please be sure to open the ASTEN pdf file and take a look at the
incredible ammount of thought and work Eric put into his floating
city in space.
