liar liar

When trying to lie your way through any
situation, keep a tight rein on your zygo
maticus major and your orbicularis oculi.
They’ll give you away faster than a snitch.

see-ya

Last evening, Vandenburg AFB launched a Delta IV (medium
configuration ) rocket with it’s secret spy satellite payload into
a geo-sync orbit. These pictures were taken about 100 or so
miles east of Vandenburg. We here at admit-one were able to
watch it’s ascent for a good 5 minutes or so. Apparently
everything went smoothly.

The next time you get your pen caught in the office
printer, have more care when leaving your note to
the rest of the office staff.

Puzzling Ancient Artifacts

weird stuff

Over the last few decades, miners in
South Africa have been digging up
mysterious metal spheres. Origin
unknown, these spheres measure
approximately an inch or so in diameter,
and some are etched with three parallel
grooves running around the equator.
Two types of spheres have been found:
one is composed of a solid bluish metal
with flecks of white; the other is
hollowed out and filled with a spongy
white substance. The kicker is that the
rock in which they where found is
Precambrian – and dated to 2.8 billion
years old! Who made them and for
what purpose is unknown.

In astounding numbers?

cool panorama

Here is a killer piece of software that automatically
creats panoramic pictures from your panorama shots.
Above were 16 shots from a digital camera dumped
into AutoPano. AutoPano then automatically found
the panoramas and spliced them together and color faded
them and created new picture files. Below is one of the
panoramas found within the 16 shots. Very cool software
and cutting edge stuff.
