Lost in Translation

lost in translation

What happens when an English phrase is
translated (by computer) back and forth
between 5 different languages? The authors
of the Systran translation software probably
never intended this application of their
program.
The resulting half-English, half-foreign, and
totally non sequitur response bears almost
no resemblance to the original. Remember
the old game of “Telephone”? Something is
lost, and sometimes something is gained.
Try it for yourself!

The Ice House Comedy Club

comedy club

My wife and I finally celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary
last night. We had a wonderful dinner in the Ice House’s Comics
restaruant and as always, a great evening of comedy at The Ice
House in Pasadena. The Ice House began in 1960 as a Folk club
and then moved into comedy and has been ever since the 70’s.
We discovered The Ice House in the late 70’s in our high school
years and have been going ever since. Be sure to read up on the
Ice House history and yes, It used to be a real ice factory before
it was turned into a nite club for Folk singers.

Go to the Ice House. I command you. You will not regret it!
